Saturday's Smiley is brought to you by our "date" in Quiapo. I learned that Palanca Street has stores with these cute and really affordable trinkets, so I asked beb if we could go there one Saturday. Actually, it wasn't that hard to ask him, I just told him I'd check out the bling, he could check out the cameras in Hidalgo, and zoom, we were off!
We first went to Wellmanson and it was like Christmas in July. I used to make my own dangling earrings and I kinda like quirky "costume jewelry" so Wellmanson was the place to be! I left my cellphone and KatHa, only brought Four-Eyes the Supersampler, so I don't have pictures of the store. Unfortunately, I didn't find what I came there for, so I just picked up some odds and ends for "inspiration."

If only beb wasn't getting too impatient, I would've stayed there for hours. There was another store with enameled charms, waaa, I wanna go back! And I will!
Sunday meanwhile was a lazy one, slept almost the whole day. Beb and I shared this pizza and pasta dinner at Aveneto. Carbo overload, I know. *sniff*

No Smiley picture for Monday, it was a real Manic Monday. Although I realized that having one true friend is enough. :D
Today presented a surprise. I thought the phone call that came after lunch was from the boss, but it was the Manong from the Supreme Court. See, a few weeks ago, I was at the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC), so on a whim, I filled out the request form to get my Bar exam booklets. Then this Friday, I was there again to file a petition to take the Bar for a friend, so I asked about my booklets. The Manong said he was kinda swamped, so he asked me to return at around 12 noon. Alas, when I returned, he went off to lunch! I left our number in the office. Today, he called me, apologizing that the light in the bodega was busted so he only got my booklets today.

I leafed through them in the office and doing that gave me this giddy feeling. For now, the booklets are resting on a stool beside my bed. I love looking at them heehee. And I think it's amazing that something which caused me so much pain (OMG, the studying, the crying, the waiting, the agony) could make me this giddy! So nerdy, I know!

Hmmm, with all the hardships and trauma we experienced taking the Bar exam, I don't know where did you find the courage to request your booklets.
I was thinking of passing the burden to OBC for them to shred my booklets. Haha.
oh my - pwede pala i-request?? I want my booklets too!!! but only for the subjects where i scored okay, hahahaha. selective!
also, i like the trinkets ha. i-racket mo kaya??? so tired of beaded ek ek. like, a really ornate pendant on a long black leather strand kaya? benta mo benta mo!!! (ganyan rin si Pao, impatient sa browsing among knick knacks!)
katawa your cellphone pic. emergency shots. i get that a lot too. parang, despite the load of cameras we already have, glads, i am seriously thinking of getting a point-and-shoot na maayos ha. for these last minute-i don't wanna lug around my SLR moments - pang blog! hahahaha

Re trinkets, well, andami na kasing gumagawa eh. Pero malay natin, when I get supremely booored.
Re point and shoot, you know what, I started with a Canon PowerShot, and I think my "best" shots and the pics I love the most were taken with that camera. I love point and shoot! Kaso I left it with my sisters, sira na yung screen. :( Dami na mura P&S!
